Hey peps its hermit here again to give you a vision for this "black horse" of an anime which the isekai fans and RPG gaming fans will love for sure.
Origin: -"tensei shitara slime Datta ken" was originally a WEB NOVEL between Feb 20, 2013 and Jan 1, 2016, which was later adapted as a manga in "shōnen manga" magazine on March 26, 2015 (source wiki)....and later as anime by Eight bit, directed by Yasuhiro kikuchi.
I will start by addressing one thing that this anime was originally a light novel which was adapted as manga, and later on into anime. Anime may have attracted much audience through the "promotions" of Manga.

Manga
Now, what I like about this manga?? Well to be honest, as a gaming and isekai genre fan I loved the script as much as any other isekai storyline (eg., The gamer, re-monster). The story is quite saddening in the beginning; as it happens in all isekai storylines, our protagonist die and gets reincarnated as slime. But from that point onwards, the humor starts. It's light hearted comedy with op protagonist is a delight to readers/watchers, but let me remind you it also have gory and some of the horror stuffs which act as a mood changer or plot changer. The author did a great job in keeping the readers focused on the manga. Readers don't get easily bored of the things common to this genre. It is a slow-paced manga from the start as the author explores every character so that no point of the story line is missed and the readers don't find any loopholes within the plot. At least I didn't. And sketching is also good at least they won't let you feel overwhelmed with contrast of background.
And last but not the least GUYS!!!!! The fan-service that is provided may not be up to par with high school DXD or similar ones but fan-service is there no matter what…
Anime
As for anime, peps let me tell ya’ guy the voice actors are okay and you can feel the characters’ voices are actually smoother. To be honest in my view, at least the animation is good with all the fighting sequences. We can say that they made good efforts to make it out as new anime which might be quite likable. The story of the anime is quite funny; you don’t usually see ‘slime’ talking and all even in animes. The anime may have some fighting, but it's quite light as compared to the manga; the gory cuts can't be seen on the anime for obvious reasons.
The intro and outro are also good but always listening to the same song is not everyone’s cup of tea. You can also see this series as a kingdom building anime (like Dr. Stone & Darwin’s Game).
I don't think I left out anything. The anime is also packed with fan-service, so take your time, chill and watch this, a personal recommendation of mine….

PLOT
Satoru Mikami, an ordinary 37y.o. corporate worker living in Tokyo, is stabbed by assailant out of nowhere. While dying due to the wound he got, he hears echoes in his mind reciting a series of commands which he cannot make sense of. After a short while, when he wakes up he finds himself in an unfamiliar world, that too with slime’s body!! The story revolves around our hero, depicting his adventure, going through which he unlock new abilities that allows him to do many unnatural stuff. He soon finds himself in the company of Veldora, who he befriends and sets him free. Veldora grants him the name ‘Rimuru Tempest’. The story goes on the character-stories are soundly explored in the plot. Overall a great watch.
